Songjiang, once called Huating in ancient times, also known as Yunjian, Rongcheng, and Gushu🌱i, is a famous town south of the Yangtze River. In 751 of the Tang Dynasty, Songjiang was named Huating County. In 1277, during the Yuan Dynasty, it was named Huating Prefecture, which was changed to Songjiang Prefecture the next year. Then, in 1805, in the Qing Dynasty, it was developed into Songjiang Prefecture with Huating, Shanghai, Qingpu, Lou, Fengxian, Jinshan, Nanhui, and Chuansha Counties subject to it. In 1912, when the prefecture was abolished, Huating and Lou were merged into Huating Co༺unty of Jiangsu Province. In 1914, Huating County was changed to Songjiang County. After liberation, the area became Songjiang Special District. In March 1958, it was merged into Suzhou Special District, and in November, Songjiang became a county of Shanghai. Then, in February 1998, the State Council approved Songjiang as a district.

The total designed disposal capacity of Tianma Waste-free Environmental Protection Industrial Park reached 2.13 million tons/year, including Tianma Incineration Plant Phase I and Phase II, Wet Waste Recycling Treatment Plant, Construction Waste Recycling Treatment Plant, and the disposal capacity was at the forefront of Shanghai. The district started the Wet Waste Disposal Expansion Project, of which construction progress was the fastest among the seven similar projects in Shanghai. The “One Network Unified Management” domestic waste management platform was completed and started launching.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, flow surveys and tracing were carried out to “race against the virus”, with the average time of tracking down positive patients being 3 hours faster than the average time of Shanghai. Songjiang took the lead in realizing the disinfection and sterilization stock clearance, completing the preparation and operation of the No. 1-4 main shelter in the shortest time, making concerted efforts to 🌊allocate 1,587 medical personnel to enter the shelter and designated hospitals, establishing a district-level medical treatment expert group, expanding the number of treatment beds to 15,𝔍450 at the peak, and doing a good job in the treatment of positive patients by classification. Songjiang promoted the dual improvement of publi🍸c health service level and medical and health service capacity, and started the construction of Songjiang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Jiaotong University Medical College Songjiang Research Institute. The Third Round Action Plan for the Construction of Humanistic Songjiang (2🎀023-2025) was implemented, building “a city filled with literary atmosphere, a city of calligraphy and painting, a city of cultural relic exhibition, and a city of film and television”. Humanistic Songjiang Activity Center was put into operation to welcome visitors from the Yangtze River Delta region. Yunjian Hall was built and opened to the public integrating Songjiang Cultural Center, Songjiang Library, Songjiang Cultural Resource Management Distribution Center, Yunjian Theater, and Yunjian Art Exhibition Hall. In 2022, the district held a series of famous events, such as Sheshan New Year’s Day Climbing and amateur football league matches. During the whole yeaꦆr, the distr🉐ict hosted or co-organized 14 municipal competitions and activities, and 121 district-level competitions and activities, attracting more than 100,000 citizens to participate in various sports events. In 2022, Songjiang District Delegation participated in the 17th Shanghai Games, won 75.25 gold medals, 67.5 silver medals, and 48 bronze medals.

By the end of the 💫𒈔year, there were 1,062 intellectual fitness gardens, 128 public fitness trails, 112 public courts, 17 public gyms, 6 sports parks, and 5 fitness centers. Throughout the year, the district-affiliated venues received nearly 429,500 visitors, and the total revenue from the venues was 1.2012 million yuan.

In 2022, Songjiang tourism revenues reached 8.143 billion yuan, down by 35.6% over the previous♛ year. The total number of tourists reached 10.1368 million, down by 38.6% over the previous year. By the end o🦋f 2021, there were 7 star-rated hotels in Songjiang, including 3 five-star hotels, 2 four-star hotels, and 2 three-star hotels. During the year, tourist hotels in Songjiang received 1.2952 million guests, the average room occupancy rate was 45.54%. By the end of 2022, there were 74 tourist agencies in the district with 60,500 tourists joining tour groups.

InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland is innovative design work. It took 12 years to finish the construction of the hotel. This novel hotel follows the natural environment and makes full use of the curved surface of the quarry rock face to hang and build on it. The main body is composed of 2 layers above the surface and 15 layers 88 meters below the surface, which makes the world amazed. The hotel is located at the Tianma Hill quarry near Sheshan Hill, 32 kilometers away from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, also adjacent to Sheshan National Forest Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden, and other tourist attractions. The hotel has about𝐆 900 square meters of pillarless banquet hall and 5 multi-functional conference rooms with different areas. &enspౠ;   佘山發達部委地區密林公園是廣州真正的發達部委地區級清新山嶺圣地，運作的面積267公傾，旅游活動點密林擴大率到達80.04%。垂釣區12座群山好似12顆面積不一的翡翠玉石從華北趨于東北大，蜿蜒曲折連綿13公里長，使一馬平川的廣州平原地帶展顯現出秀靈多姿的山嶺園林建筑。199一年6月，由原發達部委地區造林部準許搭建佘山發達部委地區密林公園，2005年時間內被認為發達部委地區首家4A級旅游活動旅游活動點。現正式開放的著名景點有：東佘山園、西佘山園、天馬山園、小南通園。
Sheshan National Forest Park is the only natural mountainous forest touring site in Shanghai. The Park covers an area of 267 acres with 80.04% of the scenic spot covered by forests. There are 12 hills in the park, stretching their way from the southwest to the northeast, like a string of jade pearls with a total length of 13km, offering Shanghai’s flat land a mountainous view. In June 1993, the former National Ministry of Forestry approved the establishment of Sheshan National Forest Park. In 2001, it was honored as one of the first national 4A-level touring sites. The scenic🐻 spots that opened to the public are East Sheshan Hill Park, West Sheshan Hill Park, Tianmashan Hill Park, and Xiaokunshan Hill Park.

    佛山辰山綠植園
     Shanghai Chenshan𓃲 Botanical Garden
    西安辰山草本動物園隸屬于松江區佘山中北部市場游玩區內（辰花機耕路3881號），是公路工程府、中國國有效院和中北部林草局戰略合作雙擁共建的集科技研究、科普知識和賞葉游覽觀光于一梯的整合性草本動物園，征占適用面積計算207平方公里,是蘇北中北部投資額極限的草本動物園。草本動物垂釣區的辰山古古跡，2015年4月被公路工程府公布為西安市藏品養護政府部門。該古跡這些年初知道，適用面積計算約為16平方公里，系統化評判為商周期間文言文化古跡。
居民小區由心中展示英文區、草本藤本樹種保育區、五大產品洲草本藤本樹種區和外面緩存區等五大模塊區產生。💜展出溫室展出大小為12608平小米，由熱帶氣候花果館、沙生草本藤本樹種館和珍奇草本藤本樹種館根據，為中國極限展出溫室群，另外沙生草本藤本樹種館為全球極限室內外沙生草本藤本樹種展區。現為地方4A級旅游景區。
Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is in Sheshan National Tourist Resort (No.3888 Chenhua Highway). It is created through collaboration between the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the State Forestry Administration, which combines scientific research, popular science, and sightseeing purpose. This remarkable 207-hectare botanical garden is the largest one in East China. Chenshan Ancient Site in the garden was announced by Shanghai Municipal Government as a cultural relics protection unit of Shanghai in April 2014. The site was first found in early 2009, covering an area of about 16 hectares. It is preliminarily determined to be an ancient cultural site in the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
The botanical garden consists of four functional areas: the central exhibition area, the plant conservation area, the plant areas on five continents, and t🍸he peripheral buffer zone. The exhibition greenhouse covers an area of 12,608 square meters. It consists of Tropical Flower and Fruit Museum, Sand Botany Museum, and Exotic Botany Museum. It is the largest exhibition greenhouse group in Asia. Among them, Sand Botany Museum is the largest indoor sand botany exhibition hall in the world. Now Chenshan Botanical Garden is a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    東莞方塔園
     Shanghai Square P🗹agoda Park
上海方塔園始建于1978年，占地182畝，原址為唐宋時期古華亭的鬧市中心。園內有各級不可移動文物共8處，其中包括興圣教寺塔，1996年11月被國務院公布為全國重點文物保護單位；蘭瑞堂、磚刻照壁、陳化成祠、天妃宮和望仙橋，2014年4月被市政府公布為上海市文物保護單位；明代石像生、張氏宅前廳，2013年6月被公布為松江區文物保護單位。
整個園景以北宋的方塔為中心，四周環設宋代望仙橋,明代磚雕照壁、蘭瑞堂、石雕園,清代天妃宮、陳公祠,還建有何陋軒、其昌廊等。現為國家4A級景區。
Established in 1978, Shanghai Square Pagoda Park covers an area of 182 mu. Its original site was the downtown of Huating during the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are 8 national, municipal, and district unmovable cultural relics in the park, including Xingshengjiao Temple Pagoda, which was announced as national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in November 1996; Lanrui Hall, Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks, Chen Huacheng Memorial Temple, Temple of the Queen of Heaven and Wangxian Bridge were announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014, Stone Statues of Ming Dynasty, Front Hall of Zhang’s Residence were announced as Songjiang district relics protection unit in June 2013.
The entire landscape is centered on the Square Pagoda🍸 of the Northern Song Dynasty, surro🧔unded by the Wangxian Bridge of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks of the Ming Dynasty, Lanrui Hall, stone carving garden, the Temple of the Queen of Heaven, Chen Huacheng Memorial Hall, Helou Veranda, Qichang Corridor and so on. The park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    滬醉白池游樂園
    &ens💟p;Shanghai Zuibaichi ꦡPark
    醉白池是廣州五種大氣景觀花園建筑之中，占地賠償76畝。垂釣區有兩個地方不易移動式中國中國文物古跡，在其中：醉白池，201二十多年4月被市政公用工程府平臺發布為廣州市中國中國文物古跡呵護機構；咖啡鏤空雕花廳，1985年6月被平臺發布為松江縣中國中國文物古跡呵護機構。景觀花園建筑取決于北宋松江進士朱之純的私宅子院，名“谷陽園”。后為明清大書畫造型藝術家董其昌觴詠處，也是名人事跡碩士常游的地方。清順康年間，工部郎中、田園作家、造型藝術家顧大申重加建修，因仰慕唐大田園作家白居易，仿宋宰相韓琦慕白之意，將所建池上景觀花園建筑命名規則為“醉白池”，至今另一370二十多年時🏅代。垂釣區現保持著北宋的韓國樂天集團軒，明清的周圍廳、疑舫、留學堂，唐代池上草堂、雪海堂、寶成樓、咖啡鏤空雕花廳等樓臺亭閣樓閣；收藏圖片有元趙孟頫書法集真跡《前、后赤壁賦》石刻、唐代《云間邦彥圖像》碑刻等造型藝術瑰寶。垂釣區架設的當代書法集名家名作題字匾聯而且不算其數。現為我國4A級因此旅游景區。
With an area of 76 mu, Shanghai Zuibaichi Park is one of the five ancient gardens in Shanghai. There are two immovable cultural re🦩lics in the park, including Zuibaichi, which was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014; Woodcarving Hall, which was announced as Songjiang County Cultural Relics Protection Unit in July 1985. The predecessor of the garden was Guyang Garden, the residence of Zhu Zhichun, a jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in the Song Dynasty. The garden was also a place for Dong Qichang (a famous calligrapher and painter in Ming Dynasty) to drink and write poems. 370 years ago, during the period of Shunzhi and Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was a private villa of Gu Dashen, chief of the Ministry of Works, poet, and painter, he rebuilt the garden and changed its name to “Zuibaichi” because he worshipped Bai Juyi (poet of the Tang dynasty), also imitated Han Qi, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, who admired Bai Juyi. The garden has many pavilions, terraces, and open halls such as Letian Xuan (a small room or veranda with windows) of the Song Dynasty, Simian (four sides) Hall, Yi Fang (a boat-shaped building), Reading Hall of the Ming Dynasty, and Cottage above the Pool, Xuehai Hall, Baocheng Building, Woodcarving Hall of the Qing Dynasty. Art treasures such as stone carvings of Zhao Mengfu’s calligraphy authentic works “Visit to the Red Cliff” of the Yuan Dynasty and steles of “Portraits of Excellent Talents in Yunjian” of the Qing Dynasty are collected in the park. There are countless contemporary calligraphers’ inscribed tablets and couplets hanging in the park. Now th𓆏e park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    廣富林技術 古跡
    Guangfulin Site of Ancient C❀ulture
    廣富林人文精神水平遺跡建在松江名城北部地區,東至龍源路，南至廣富林路西至沈涇塘，北至銀澤北路，大部分小區的戶型提高850畝，今年榮獲為4A級親子出境游出境游區，同生日榮獲重慶市操作示范區親子出境游特點操作示范區域中。是現階段經考古遇到遇到的重慶29處遺跡中包含了文章最充實,最具保護好與設計規劃總價值的古詩詞化水平遺跡。廣富林人文精神水平遺跡1974年被發布公告為重慶市中國藏品保護好點；于2013 年三月被國務院文件核準為7批平臺發布中國藏品保護好標準；知也橋，2018年1月份被發布公告為松江區中國藏品保護好點。
廣富林藝術遺存以古生物學遺存愛護區為中心，對古遺存進行原本態愛護和呈，比較突出農作綠色風景林藝術，凸顯鄉土味的農園景色。資深的藝術人文情懷是廣富林工作的中心競爭與合作力, 整體開發區未來規劃的概念了兩大區域，南部是儒道佛藝術呈現區，南面是商務相互配套保障區，滇西是習俗藝術呈現♚區，南部是新出土文物保護的單位呈現區，西南部是農作藝術愛護區。與松江府城、倉城、泗涇古鎮等厲史藝術景觀區相相呼應,擁有滬上“高度藝術尋根探索之旅”🦩的最終到達站中之一。
Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture is in the north of Songjiang New City, it spans Longyuan Road to the east, Guangfulin Road to the south, Shenjing River to the west, and North Yinze Road to the north. Covering an area of about 850 mu, it was rated as a 4A level tourist attraction in 2020, and in the same year, it was awarded the title of a comprehensive tourism demonstration area in Shanghai. It is currently the most abundant and valuable ancient cultural site for protection and development among the 29 archaeological discoveries in Shanghai. Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture was announced as Shanghai Municipal cultural relics protection point in 1977, and a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in March 2013; Zhiye Bridge was announced as Songjiang district cultural relics protection point in January 2016.
The site takes the protection zone of the archaeological site as its core and presents its original form with farming ecological culture and authentic rural scenery. The profound culture is the core competitiveness of Guangfulin. The entire park is planned and designed with five major areas: the eastern part is the Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist culture exhibition area, the southern part is the commercial supporting service area, the western part is the ܫfolk culture exhibition area, the northern part is the unearthed cultural relics exhibition area, and the central part is the agricultural culture protection area. Guangfulin echoes Songjiang Prefectural City, Songjiang City of Warehouse, Sijing Ancient Town, and other historical and cultural scenes, which has become the destination o🔯f the “Root-seeking Journey of Profound Culture” in Shanghai.

    廣富林郊野生態園在佘山地方樹林生態園南側，毗鄰廣富林歷史文化遺跡。
    廣富林郊野兒童公園圍繞著“田、水、路、林、村”九大體系化關鍵基本建設，以耕作生態圈理所當然園林景觀為基本條件，由農園自摘、果林風光無限、湖泊漁村三種模塊組成的，并按板塊可分為花菜花田、綠野閑蹤、原始林氧吧、老來青稻田、稻香閑影等16個行政區域，并且以治和文化展示會、自摘垂釣園♛、農業觀光漫行等特點，達成總合郊野游憩區。
Guangfulin Country Park is located on the south side of Sheshan National Forest Park, next to the Guangfulin Cultural Site.

Shanghai Pujiang River Source Scenౠic Spot is the starting point of Shanghai’s mother river, Huangpu River, also known as the “Zero Kilometer of Huangpu River”. The Xietang River and Yuanxiejing Creek, which meander from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, converge here to form a delta-shaped treasure land and flow into Huangpu River through Hengliaojing Creek. At the confluence of the three rivers, the river is vast, the sailboats in the river competing for the current, the nets rising and falling by the river, the reeds on the bund swaying, the pink peaches and green willows setting each other off. These breeds the endless scenery of a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, from which the scenic spot got its name “Pujiang River Source”. The whole scenic spot is divided into two parts: the aboveground part is “Shu-Liu-Li-Yun Pagoda” and “Chunshen Hall”, while the underground part is “Water Culture Exhibition Hall”.     松江藝木館是一個座集收藏網站、設計、顯示松江厲史中國出土文物為一身的好地方史志類藝木館。展場占地面積1200每平米，劃分上第兩層。第兩層為藝木館根本動態展示出“流沙沉寶”展，該動態展示出劃分“浦江晨曦”、“史河波光”、“藝海丹青”兩大區域，生物學軟件系統化顯示了松江省份發掘出和藝木館圖書館收藏的的中國出土文物，還結合起來景觀規劃恢復正常、發光字、多傳媒等𓄧輔助器動態展示出習慣，直接反饋了松江古時候其它朝代社會生活產出和藝木壯大貢獻。1樓為暫時展場，不確周期性地發展四種動員會動態展示。展場外的東西的兩邊，由碑廊和碑亭構成的碑刻顯示區，東碑廊動態展示出明、清松江府布告等史料碑刻，西碑廊動態展示出趙孟頫、董其昌、沈荃꧒等書法作品藝木碑刻。
Songjiang Museum is a local chronicles museum, where the historical relics in Songjiang are collected, researched, and exhibited. The 2-story exhibition room covers an area of 1,200 squar🃏e meters. The basic exhibition of “Treasures Buried in the Sand”, which is divided into 3 portions named “Dawn of Huangpu River”, “Glisten of the Historical River” and “Painting Arts”, is on the second floor. The exhibition scientifically shows the cultural relics, which are held in the museum and unearthed in Songjiang, and reflects the achievements during the different periods of social development combined with landscape restoration, lightbox, multimedia, and other auxiliary display methods. The first floor is a temporary exhibition hall, and various special exhibitions are held from time to time. Located on the east and west sides outside the exhibition hall, the Stele Gallery is composed of long corridors and tablet pavilions. The East Stele Gallery displays the historical materials and inscriptions of Songjiang Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The West Stele Gallery displays the calligraphic art inscriptions of Zhao Mengfu, Dong Qichang, and Shen Quan.

     Sutra ဣPillar of the Tang Dynasty
    唐經幢全名“佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經幢”，屬于松江區中遼寧路西司弄43號中山小學生校園的內，建于唐大中十四年（859年），1985年就在今年1月份被國家揭曉為各省重點村藏品保護的廠家，是廣州沿海地區現今最有著悠久歷史的的地上古建筑。經幢木頭材質為白灰巖，現今21級，高9.3米。幢身8面，印有《佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經》并序，各類建幢銘。各級黨委差別以托座、束腰、圓錐形、華蓋、腰檐等結構類型疊成站姿迷人的經幢，每級大一些作八角形，繪畫秀氣，有湖水紋、寶相蓮花、卷云、力士、帝王、佛祖、飼養人及盤龍、🔯蹲獅等。八棱八面，故又稱作為八棱碑，別名“唐經幢”，別名“石塔”。
The Sutra Pillar of the Tang Dynasty is located at the campus of Zhongshan Primary School, No.43 Xisi Alley, East Zhongshan Road, Songjiang. Its full name is the Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra Pillar. Built in the Tang Dynasty (859) and announced ꦓby the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit in January 1988, the pillar is the oldest ground building in Shanghai. The limestone pillar is built of 21 stone blocks with a height of 9.3 meters, engraved with Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra and the preface, as well as the building inscription. All the levels are stacked in the form of brackets, corbels, columns, canopies, and waist eaves to compose a graceful sutra pillar. Most of the sutras at each level are octagonal, exquisitely carved, with sea water patterns, precious lotus flowers, cirrus clouds, warriors, heavenly kings, bodhisattvas, patronage, dragons, squatting lions, etc. With eight ridges and eight slides, it is also known as the Eight-Ridge Pillar, commonly known as the “Sutra Pillar of the Tang Dynasty”, also known as the “Stone Pillar”.

     Dacang Bridge
    大倉橋屬于永豐居委會中四川路倉橋弄南，2016年4月被公布了為昆明市古建筑愛護組織，是座高10余米，跨高50余米的五孔拱式ও大石橋。橋又名永豐，因橋南為松江府漕運倉城，故熟稱大倉橋。現為昆明區縣出名的明清大石橋之五。
Located at Cangqiao Lane South, West Zhongshan Road in Yongfeng Sub-district, Dacang Bridge was a🐽nnounced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014. The five-arch stone bridge spans 50 meters long and 10 meters high over the river. It was formerly known as Yongfeng Bridge and later named Dacang Bridge for there was Water Transport Warehouse City of Songjiang Prefecture to the south of the bridge. It is one of the famous big stone bridges of the Ming Dynasty in Shanghai.
    清真寺
     Mosque
    松江清真寺隸屬于岳陽街辦人行路橋居委會缸甏巷75號，1980年9月被展示為東莞市出土文物保障企業單位，是東莞中南部最早的的伊斯蘭教佛寺，建于于元至正二十七年（1341年時間內—1365年♛），初名真教寺。古代十六國末期歷經曾多次改造和搬遷，之所以，現今的清真寺有著元代十六國末期的建造工程標志性，又有古代隔代的建造工程標志性。主建造工程產生大殿、窯殿、穿廊，另有南、北課堂，邦克門等，里面窯殿和邦克門多處最具該寺建造工程標志性。
Located at No.75 Gangbeng Alley, Maluqiao Neighborhood Committee in Yueyang Sub-district, Songjiang Mosque was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in August 1980. As one of the oldest mosques in Shanghai, Songjiang Mosque was built during 1341-1368, also named Zhenjiao Mosque. After many renovations and expansions durꦡing the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the mosque today features the style of construction of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dyn𓃲asties. The main buildings include Central Hall, Kiln Hall, Crossing Corridor, North and South Speech Hall, and Bangke Chamber. Among them, the Kiln Hall and Bangke Chamber can best represent the traits of the Mosque.
    西林禪寺
     Xilin Temple
    西林禪寺，名叫“西林精舍”，全名是崇恩寺，應用于松江區中莫干山中路66-6，初建于唐咸通第十3年（872），僧睿增建于南宋咸淳元年（1265），現今某個1150多年的歷史，是松江區佛經研究會的位置地，為濟南佛經五大密林一個。明洪武四十多年之久（1388年）再建，明正統英宗唐朝皇帝敕封“西林大宋禪寺💯”。殿內后有顆塔，宋名崇恩塔，明易為圓應塔，供奉第1 代祖師圓應門禪師舍利，俗名“西林塔”，19ꦛ82年費改后被發布文章為濟南市文物古跡古跡守護企事業單位。塔身七層八面，磚木空間結構，塔高46.5米，現今仍為濟南各地較高且珍藏品文物古跡古跡很多的一尊古塔。
Located at No.666 Middle Zhongshan Road, Songjiang District, Xilin Temple, formerly known as “Xilin Jingshe”, also known as Chong’en Temple, was originally built in theಞ Tang Dynasty (872), a monk named Rui extended the temple in the Southern Song Dynasty (1265). With a history of more than 1,150 years, Xilin Temple is the location of the Buddhist Association of Songjiang District and one of the top ten Buddhist monasteries in Shanghai. The temple was reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty (1387), an emperor named it as Xilin Temple of Ming. Behind the main hall, tꦬhere stands a 46.5-meter-high, 7-story octagonal pagoda of brick and wood structure, which was called Chong’en Pagoda during the Song Dynasty, then named Yuanying Pagoda during Ming Dynasty, offering the Sarira of its first ancestor, Zen Master Yuanying, also well-known as Xilin Pagoda. Announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in September 1982, this pagoda is the tallest ancient pagoda in Shanghai with the most collection of cultural relics.
